RUSTY Nautical Pirate Ship

Note that some people, when taping along the edges of the flaps like we've done with the two smaller pieces of tape, will put the tape all the way across from corner to corner. My opinion is that this makes the package much more difficult for the buyer to open. Plus the book is already in water-resistant plastic, so I leave some gaps near the corners to make the package easier to open.

Then just flip it over and add a layer of peanuts:

Place the merchandise on the peanuts:

And fill the remaining space with more peanuts, taking care to ensure that peanuts fill the space between the merchandise and the box on all sides:

Then simply seal the open side of the box in exactly the same way that we sealed the first side:

Then all we have to do is stick or tape our shipping label on the box, and we're ready to ship!

Some people prefer a different way of sealing the boxes, with a "hot glue gun" made specifically for that purpose. I personally haven't tried it yet but do definitely want to. Proponents say it is more secure and less expensive.

Either way, we've packed our book extremely well in just a minute or two, with the total packaging cost being around $0.65 to $0.90 or so, depending on your particular packaging supplier. With online postage discounts, we can ship this package via USPS Media Mail for a total packing and shipping cost of $4.00 or even a little bit less. Happy eBaying!
